Bareheaded King George V 1926 Silver Sixpence (50%…

Stumbling across this 1926 Bare Head King George V silver sixpence piece this afternoon, how many realize nowadays that at one time a silver coin was actually made in whole or in part in silver? Until 1920 these were 92.5% silver, and then until 1946, 50%.
I used to be given them for walking the 3/4 mile down to the butcher and back in Corstorphine during school holidays in the 1950s - must have saved this one! In terms of value it would have bought me a whole bar of Cadbury's chocolate in 1954 which costs £2 today.
