On the road up Califer Hill

On the road up Califer Hill - E.R. - approaching damsel on a white horse, who very kindly agreed to be part of my image!

The former Oakwood Motel, Britain's first, apparently, built in the early 1950s(?) It was rumoured half a century ago to be a bit of a "knocking shop", with a whiff of suspicion that rooms possibly could be rented by the half hour, but who knows, if that was true or not! It was unoccupied for many years, before becoming a restaurant, which in turn closed, and it now has an entirely new lease of life as Riverside Kitchens' showroom.
