Paint samples visible on top right window surround

There was intense debate amongst the conservationists which colour to paint the vast building to most closely represent what it would have looked like. It dates from about 1364, so they found many different layers, matched them up, and then photoshopped the entire building in the various shades, and finally picked the colour it is today.
