The Meads of St John, River Findhorn, Earl of Moray's private Estate


The ancient Darnaway Sessile Oaks. There has been an oak forest at Darnaway on record from 1290 AD, and probably considerably earlier.
This is the oldest Darnaway oak dating from about 1350(?), and is one of Britain's 100 Heritage Trees. At 33 feet it has the largest girth of any broad-leaved tree in Scotland.
