This is a scan of a film print that I took around 1997 in Boddam, Aberdeenshire. It didn't scan that well so I manipulated it in Gimp to get this creation. I think I've lost the original so this is all that remains.
Orchid in the hills

This is a picture taken with my mobile. It's always good to see an orchid and I found this in the Ochil hills. In June I'm always looking.
Amongst the trees

|
This is a picture taken with my mobile during an evening walk in September on a regular route through an old wood of Beech trees. The sun lit up the undergrowth around this characterful tree.
The Glen of Sorrow

|
This is a mobile shot of this lone tree that stands near the top of the Glen of Sorrow in the Ochil Hills. It is one of my favourite walks in these parts. The low sun streams down through the gap in the hills leaving long shadows.
Evening walk

This was my view from my evening walk yesterday on the Ochil Hills. The hills were empty and I had them to myself under a gloomy sky.
Stob Binnein

Stob Binnein is a Scottish mountain. This picture was taken from the summit in between low cloud flying by and obscuring the view.
Digger in a sunbeam
|

|
|
I was walking my dog, Digger, in my local woods when he was suddenly lit up by the low sun - he glowed like a lamp! Luckily I had my phone in my hand so I was able to snap this before he moved.
Ben Buck cairn

I often walk my local hills at night. This picture was taken from Ben Buck looking North. It's about a 6 mile (9km) circular walk and 2000ft (600m) climb. It was very cold when I took this. When I descended back into the valley it felt lovely and warm, even though my car had ice on the windscreen!
The ruin at Jerah

|
|
This old ruined house stands in the Ochil hills and was the house for Jerah Farm. It now lies long abandoned.
Dundee from a distance

I had visited this tree in the daytime. I knew that I had to come back and find it at night. It was an adventure to find it and then find my way back

Dunmore House

This is an HDR panoramic that I took of this old ruin. Dunmore house was once inhabited by the Lords of Dunmore, but is now in advanced decay and partially demolished at the back. There is a large basement to explore underneath too. I took this picture over 10 years ago and it is all overgrown now as all the seedlings have grown into trees.
