Zierikzee with Zuidhavenpoort...

Zierikzee met Zuidhavenpoort: De Zuidhavenpoort is één van de drie stadspoorten. De Zuidhavenpoort staat bij de ingang van de oude stadshaven naast de Noordhavenpoort.

De poort werd in de 15e eeuw gebouwd. Het bakstenen poortgebouw heeft vier hoektorens. Het koepeltorentje is in 1858 vernieuwd. Hierin is het oudste carillon van Nederland (1554) opgehangen Deze stamt uit het oude stadhuis.

Fijn dat je hem mooi vindt Jaap. Was wel een gure dag, maar heb toch ook genoten in Zierikzee. Wat een moeilijke toren trouwens om die een beetje fatsoenlijk op de foto te krijgen. Vond hem zo wel sfeervol.
