It’s really interesting visually, I think, in that his looks like a stage-set. A small theatre with acorn taking a bow. You are revealing things that our minds and eyes cannot see. That might seem an obvious thing to say, because that’s what macro photography does; but it’s the choice of subject and context here that gives this its poetic, autumnal atmosphere. It’s a one man/ woman acorn show. This crowd is enthralled.
