Caithness Colours (PiP)

Lovely colours in natures wall of pink and green, a great place to sit and view both the harbour and the flowers, a very nice capture!

Well, the place is too much romantic, and the scent of the wildflowers should be similar to the lavender perfume.

Yes, I think you're right about the name. I had some in one of my gardens and they were useful as mid-to-back border plantings but they tended to get a bit thuggish so I was always digging them out from where I didn't want them!

Thank you very much Andy and for the confirmation. By the large clumps of these flowers they would seem to be thriving! We don't normally go to Scotland in July and I was pleasantly surprised at all the colours and wildflowers.

When I was a child there were wild flowers everywhere, - bluebells, primroses, snowdrops etc and then there were years when there were very few in evidence, - I imagine mainly because of pesticides. It is lovely to see so many wildflowers again, - the colours of nature make me very happy, and of course the habitts are perfect for butterflies, bees and all the other insects
