Yes it was Joe. It had some very strange marking on it's back which you can see better on full screen and the front legs seemed quite long. I must admit I am not too keen on them.

FRAGILE BEAUTY

Thank you Pam. The hedgerows were bursting with life, flowers, berries, nuts etc, even apple trees along the way. It was lovely to see. It was also a treat to see butterflies and dragonflies but sadly I didn't get photos, just too many 'missed it' shots to delete!!

The detail captured in the little roses is beautiful Carol. Almost too much detail in the spider, haha! I have had three big ones enter my bedroom in the last few days, so I'm a bit paranoid ;-)) A superb shot, especially when viewed large.

Thank you very much Rosa. I know what you mean about the spider!! I am really not a fan either. I only wanted to take photos of the flowers but Spidey had made himself at home! I looked again on the way back and he was in the same place!!

Hope you are coping with this heat. It is a bit too much for me, - the fans are working flat out!!

I wish it would rain! Sounds like a cue for a song!! I know just how you feel. A quick trip by car to the local supermarket and I felt like my face was melting!

Thank you very much Doug. Very few birds around but the hedgerows were teeming with life and the reeds and rushes were almost waist high in places, - well my waist high so probably not as high as you imagine!!!
