It is a lovely light Doug and my eye is immediately drawn to the red buoy, patiently waiting for the incoming tide. Nice touch to add the boat name to the title.

Best wishes, Rosa.

In the Kintyre dialect "licht" means "bright", as my friend Angus Martin told me. Excellent shot!

Your visit and kind words are much appreciated Sarah, We were lucky with those particular clouds, the water stayed within them;-)) Unlike some others that day;-((

Never thought of that Andy;0)) Mind you the way things are going it might be worth having one if only as a reminder of the country that used to be Great Britain;-((

Ha Ha!
You would expect me to have certain views on this, seeing as my very existance depends on it, Doug. But this is a photo sharing website, and, for me a wonderful escape form the horrors of modern life so I will keep the dreaded B word out of my correspondence!
So no more mention of the word 'bollocks' and I trust others to do the same!

Oh my...the owner cannot be too happy with their poor boat's hull being strained like that. But it sure does make for a wonderful picture! :) NICE JOB!

Doug Shepherd club has replied to Janet Brien club
Thanks very much for your kind compliment Janet. I don't think the hull would be harmed as the ground it is resting on seems to consist of gravel, sand and a few small stones and as can be seen is quite level.

Well taken, it looks as though there's quite a tide there.

Your visit and kind words are much appreciated tiabunna. The tidal fall at Armadale is supposedly about 4.5 mtrs.

A lovely shot of this bright yellow boat at Armadale. I love it there. We are catching the Mallaig to Armadale ferry when we go back to Skye. It cuts off some of the journey and I like ferries. No doubt we will pop in to see Grumpy George at some point.

Thanks very much for you visit and kind compliments Carol. We liked Armadale and Sleat also, quite different to the north of Skye in many ways. Grumpy George is quite a character! He took a photograph of the three dogs we had with us at the time, as he seems to with most of the dogs that visit Armadale;-)) His photographs and shop are something to behold, I wish I had half his skill as a photographer.

Perhaps the owner of the boat visited Skye, liked it so much and decided to stay! Thanks so much for your visit and kind comment Tanja.
