Auch Wanzen können schön sein - Bugs can also be beautiful

In the picture a colorful specimen of a sloe bug (Dolycoris baccarum), sitting on an inflorescence of tufted vetch (Vicia cracca). The sloe bug is found in meadows, mixed deciduous forests, forest edges and glades, and often in gardens on herbs, trees and berry bushes. The gardens are so popular because the berry bug often finds berries there, which it sucks. Sucking the berries makes them inedible for humans due to the injected saliva.
The photo was taken in a Franconian meadow orchard.
