Noctuidae (Amphipyrinae)

This guy was resting on a wall waiting for me :)

Gorgeous moths.

I've looked very hard for this guy to find an ID. Things that should make it easy are his body length and the markings on side view. When I found the body the right size the markings are wrong, any help much appreciated :) Thanks to Benny and Steve over at Back Garden Moths and here on Flickr for the ID, but I'd still sure like to know how hes so long bodied :P

This guy was found in the house on one of those windy nights, I am not sure what he is. Any help much appreciated.

Ok the last home moth night I had this guy got in, and mortified me by spazzing out, flying all over the room, and disappearing into my book shelf. I tore the room apart looking for him to release him but couldn't find him, after hours. The next day he was at the window looking for a way out..lol Now this all makes sense when you know how this moth got his name, they are called the mouse moth because when disturbed they often scurry away like a mouse rather than fly, which he obviously did like a mouse and disappeared in the room..LoL

Very worn example, I based the ID on the fact that the species is very variable anyway but if you look at the top stigmata its kidney shaped and the separation line mid wings seems to fit a worn Cloaked Minor. I'm all ears if anyone thinks this is just another square spot or flounced rustic..LOL

Not for sure about this guy, pretty sure, like 93.5% sure its Flounced ..lol 100% sure hes lovely :)

House visitor, set the lamp up, locked the cat out of the room, and let them come find me :) Fun!! Thanks to all that helped with the ID on this guy :)

I'm not sure this is the typical Square Spot Rustic even though I know they can be really varied I got two this night that looked completely different to what we had been seeing. Anyone with any ideas I'm all ears :) Thanks Benny !! :D

Its nearly impossible to sometimes tell one similar species from another, and its best to just say its either or so this one is either the Lesser Common Rustic or the Common Rustic.
