Dunnichen House was built in the first quarter of the 18th century and was demolished in 1966. The estate was extensively improved in the second half of the 18th century.

A seventeenth century house which was remodelled c1745.Its interiors were remodelled by Robert Adam c1790.Once the home of World War One period Prime Minister HH Asquith, Archerfield was later abandoned and was used for many years as a hay barn. What was left has recently been restored.
