Tassie trip

“Patterns of Perception” 2005 by Ruth Schnell. This was not my favourite item in MONA but definitely the most mind blowing. Most people were walking past it after a brief look. I almost walked away when I thought I saw something. I realised I could only "notice something" when I moved my head, or eyes, a certain way. But you could only "notice", not actually see. Someone stopped to ask me if I was okay! I told her why I was doing it, and she started to see it, too. After a while more and more people gathered to jerk their heads about. Our own little bit of performance art.
