our new guinea fowl keets
our Light Sussex hen sat stoically on the guinea fowl eggs for 27 days. From a dozen eggs, she hatched 9 keets. Of those, two died on the first day; they need to be kept close to her so that they learn each other's language, and we stupidly hadn't penned her off with them; two wandered off, not understanding her calls to come back and died of cold...
