apple tree enclosures

keeping a thickly mulched area under the fruit trees has been tricky - it seems to merge with the grass - so we have put some of our cypress logs (still drying to be used as firewood) around them, with cardboard and thick mulch on top. The one on the left was done a month ago, and the soil is holding the water much better.
