But how did this shot come about? Obviously you had time to get your gloves (and your wife!) so I presume the bat was injured or disorientated (it is daylight too).?
What was the outcome of this 'story'?

Hi Andy, the wife found it at the bottom of the garden so i checked it out and it seemed ok.

So we photographed it as a record, may be the first and last time we have this chance again.
Placed it in a dark safe place and have not seen it since ;)) Best wishes, Bill.
