Antonio Maceo Grajales
The sculptor Alberto Santiago Lescay designed this 16 m tall sculpture of Antonio Maceo, who requests people to join the battle (they can take the blue bus today - see the image after next). The statue is made from 430 bronze elementst with a weight of around 90 tons. The monument is surrounded by 23 giant iron machetes.
