the abandoned textile mill
Today I visited an abandoned textile mill with almost all old machines still there. I'll make an album in the future. The typical November weather made the inside very dark and dusky, but I tried to make the best of it.

Berny, Do you know of any plans to purchase this and convert into apartments [affordable per how much one makes?]
Oneida Cotton Mills around here in North Carolina [have an album on it] were classified as 'Historic' and all the hoops and red tape gone through .... it is a beautiful place - probably full.

Interesting project, Peggy. No, this special mill will not be converted, there are no plans currently. Baut many other cotton or textile mills in Austria are already converted to lofts or official buildings for other purposes such as www.ipernity.com/doc/berny/49455294, which I posted before. On the one hand it's good to preserve these buildings, at least the outer shell, on the other hand I would like to see more old factories preserved as they were, as industrial heritage......or lost place.
