Steam locomotive 5621, built 1943 by Krauss-Maffei in München-Allach, in operation until 1974 in Graz (my hometown!!), Villach, Wien Franz-Joseph Bahnhof, Strasshof, Mürzzuschlag, and again Strasshof. Sold to Luxembourg, now cold and lonely in Fond-de-Gras.

A really well composed image.............the rails make perfect leading lines of course. I love the rusting old loco, with the peeling paintwork, I also like the goods vans behind the loco. Besides their obvious deterioration, they still retain some of their paintwork which has some super colours.

I traveled in one such when I was a kid, with its smoke, I loved the coal aroma, and frequent stops for watering stations etc. etc. I was almost an adventure
