You seem to have covered a lot of ground in Chile, Berny.
May I ask how long you were there for ?
Looking at the map and at the length of the country North/ South, it looks as if any trip must involve a lot of travelling,.. thousands of kilometres.. !! :))

my first visit was 2000 and we travelled from Salta to Ushuaia about 7500 km, the second trip was 2010 from Santiago de Chile to Punta Arenas about 5400 km and the third trip now from Puerto Montt to Villa o'Higgins, back up north to Chile Chico, down to Ushuaia and back up to Punta Arenas, about 6200 km. so in total we spent almost 20000 km on the roads of Chile and Argentina, it was worth the effort ;-)
