In terms of altitude, the savings are often not great. Here it was only 160 meters (from 790 to 950) until the forest road was closed for mountain bikers. But for the 6 km distance to the car park the bike was a huge relief, especially on the way back. Hier waren es nur 160 Höhenmeter (von 790 auf 950), bis der Forstweg für Mountainbiker gesperrt war. Danach ging es nur noch zu Fuß weiter. Aber für die 6 km Entfernung zum PKW-Parkplatz war das Rad vor allem beim Rückweg eine riesige Erleichterung. Ascent from the mountain pasture Kemater Alm into the Kalkkögel , a 2,800 metre high mountain range south of the Tyrolean capital Innsbruck . In appearance, the mountain range resembles the Dolomites. ~~~~~ Aufstieg von der Kemater Alm in die Kalkkögel , einer 2.800 Meter hohen Bergkette südlich der Tiroler Landeshauptstadt Innsbruck . Im Erscheinungsbild ähnelt das Gebirge den Dolomiten. ~~~~~

The autumnal Lower Kaiser Mountains in Tyrol (Austria). The pilgrimage church St. Servatius, which is the major art monument in the bavarian valley "Achental". This church also is called "Streichenkirche". ~~~~~ Wallfahrtskirche St. Servatius, das bedeutendste Kunstdenkmal im bayrischen Achental, auch "Streichenkirche" genannt.

The valley, called "Großer Ahornboden" in Tyrol (Austria), captured in October of 2015. The sycamore maple trees are up to 500 yeras old. ~~~~~ Der Große Ahornboden im Risstal (Tirol, Österreich), aufgenommen im Oktober 2015. Die Bergahornbäume dort sind bis zu 500 Jahre alt. (Wieder so ein Foto, wofür man sie in die Kuhfladen legen darf.)

This morning in St. Johann in Tyrol (Austria), the place where I live. (View from the Weitau to Kaiser Mountains.) I admit: This was the only maple tree with red leafs, which I found. All the other were still yellow or green. ~~~~~ Heute morgen in St. Johann in Tirol. (Blick von der Weitau auf den Wilden Kaiser.) Zugegebenermaßen war das der einzige auffindbare Ahornbaum mit roten Blättern weit und bereit. Alle anderen waren noch nicht so weit.
