Snapshot

The other day the topic came up: posed photos vs. unposed photos. That's why I'm showing this (unposed) snapshot! It was taken while I was modelling myself and shows how much fun we had together. (The photo was taken by my wife).

Why ISO 6,400? Working with constant light instead of flash has the advantage that everyone involved can see the illumination of the scene in real time. However, spontaneous movements can quickly lead to blurring. A fast shutter speed is therefore necessary, which in turn requires a higher ISO value. As you can see, however, this is no longer a problem for modern cameras. Because they actively focus on one eye, this worry is also eliminated.

And yes, the light could have been optimised. But then it would no longer be a snapshot.

Neulich kam das Thema auf: gestellte Fotos vs. ungestellte Fotos. Deshalb zeige ich mal diesen (ungestellten) Schnappschuss! Er entstand, während ich selbst Model stand, und zeigt, wie viel Spaß wir in der Runde hatten. (Das Foto hat meine Frau gemacht.)

Warum ISO 6.400? Wenn man mit Konstantlicht statt Blitz arbeitet, hat das den Vorteil, dass alle Beteiligten die Ausleuchtung der Szene in Echtzeit sehen können. Allerdings können spontane Bewegungen dabei schnell zu Unschärfe führen. Daher ist eine kurze Verschlusszeit nötig, was wiederum einen höheren ISO-Wert erfordert. Wie man sieht, ist das für moderne Kameras aber kein Problem mehr. Dadurch, dass sie aktiv auf ein Auge fokussieren, ist man damit auch diese Sorge los.

Und ja: Das Licht hätte man optimieren können. Aber dann wär's kein Schnappschuss mehr.
