The State Hotel in Imatra, Finland

Built in 1903 to a design by architect Usko Nyström. It was originally called "Hotel Cascade" because it was built near the famous Imatra Waterfalls.

Erbaut 1903 nach einem Entwurf des Architekten Usko Nyström. Ursprünglich hieß es "Hotel Cascade", weil es in der Nähe der berühmten Imatra-Wasserfälle erbaut wurde.

ik ben getrouwd in 1971 in Kousankoski---na de kerkdienst logeerde ik een week in dit hotel-in de toren linksboven

Ik heb nog ergens een foto van deze watervallen van Imatra wat in feite een stroomversnelling is--als er water wordt afgelaten van het Saima meer (grootste meer finland) er een sluispoort in de dam wordt geopend stort het water door deze imatra canyon naar beneden richting rusland---normaal staat de canyon droog ---een keer per week wordt er water afgelaten,en dan is het vol met mensen
