Climbing at Stripsenkopf

Some weeks ago within the fixed rope route Stripsenjoch-Klettersteig, approx. 750 ft above the alpine hut Stripsenjochhaus. The Totenkirchl vis-à-vis is only accessible for real alpinist, not for mountaineers like us.

Einige Wochen zuvor im Stripsenjoch-Klettersteig, ca. 230m oberhalb des Stripsenjochhauses. Das Totenkirchl vis-à-vis ist nur echten Alpinkletterern zugänglich, nicht Klettersteiggehern und Hobby-Bergsteigern, wie wir es sind.

Dieses Unglück in den Salzburger Bergen, von dem nun dauernd berichtet wurde, war sicher ein massiver Schock für alle Berg-Geher...

Jedes Bergunglück ist für die Opfer und ihre Angehörigen dramatisch. Die Sensationspresse bauscht das aber auch gerne auf, weil solche Unfälle spektakulärer sind als Badeunfälle. Dabei sterben viel mehr Menschen durch Ertrinken, als beim Bergwandern.

Man muss halt schaun, dass man körperlich fit bleibt. Ich persönlich sehe dieses Hobby als Motivation, einigermaßen gesund alt zu werden. Bis jetzt (65) hat's ganz gut geklappt.

Es wird einem schon schwindelig bei diesem Blick, einfach atemberaubend diese Bergwelt.
Früher dachte ich immer der Brocken im Harz ist der Gipfel der Welt ;-) !!!

So ist es mir auch gegangen, als ich vor 9 Jahren zum ersten Mal ins Kaisergebirge kam. Dieses hochalpine Ambiente hat mich damals völlig verzaubert und bis heute nicht losgelassen.
