Here And Now!
Mountaineers Rule #14 of course is valid for the photographer, too. His next action wasn't yet to climb further, but to take this picture - standing well secured. The following climbers namely had taken his attention. They were a godsend to take a picture with a proper impression of depth.
(Captured last year in summer within the fixed rope route Pfeilspitzwand-Klettersteig near Mayrhofen (Tyrol, Austria).
~~~~~
Die Bergsteigerregel #14 gilt natürlich auch für Fotografen. Dessen nächste Aktion war allerdings nicht das Weiterklettern, sondern diese Aufnahme aus einem gut gesicherten Stand heraus. Die nachfolgenden Kletterer waren nämlich schon lange im Blick - und genau hier ergab sich eine Konstellation, die ein Bild mit gutem Tiefeneindruck ermöglichte.
(Aufgenommen im Sommer vergangenen Jahres im Pfeilspitzwand-Klettersteig bei Mayrhofen (Tirol,Österreich).)
Almost makes me feel dizzy =)
An old trick I used to repeat when watching two dimensional pictures. Cover the other eye, and watch the image only with one eye. You may experience the depth more easily.
