This picture shows the alpine pasture, which the runners have to traverse. The location is called "Little Ahornboden". It was the first point of the trail, which could be achieved by bike during the competition with a long way round, as the competition trail of course was closed for bikers at that day.
Diese Fotoposition zeigt den Almcharakter des Hochtales, das die Läufer queren. Es handelt sich um den Kleinen Ahornboden und war die erste für den Fotografen überhaupt - auf Umwegen per Bike - erreichbare Location. Denn die Wettbewerbsstrecke war an dem Tag für Biker natürlich gesperrt.
Die Läuferin im Bild hat die Gesamtstrecke übrigens in +10:13:07 geschafft, von hier aus also noch knapp sieben Stunden vor sich:
