York Historic Vehicle Group Rally 2011
This is another local show that I like to try and attend if I can.
It is organised by the York Historic Vehicle Group (YHVG), which was formed to bring together people who were interested in old road vehicles: ranging from motorcycles to cars, lorries and buses.
Shortly after the establishment of the club, a rally was held on the York Racecourse, off Knavesmire Road, and this event has been held… (read more)

We're off again and this time back to the York Historic Vehicle Group Rally in 2011. First out the blocks, this lovely Gilbern. Component, kit or replica car ... I'll let you decide!
1975 Reliant Super Robin - NBR 762P
The original 1973 Robin was powered by a 750cc engine that yielded 32 bhp and came in three body styles, Saloon, Estate and Van. The Saloon and Estate were available as standard models or as “Super” models, such as the one seen here, that included extras like (would you believe) additional dash clocks and uprated radio. In 1975 the engine was uprated to a larger 40 bhp 850cc engine giving a top speed of 85 mph and a 0 - 60 mph time of 16.1 seconds.

Thought it was time I switched from four wheels to four paws ... seems a while since I posted one of these.
1993 Rover Mini "TheItalian Job" - K140 WCP
1992 BMW M3 - J879 NJR
Based on the 1986 model year E30 3-Series, the E30 M3 used the BMW S14 engine. In contrast to later M3 iterations, the E30 M3 was campaigned by BMW as well as other racing teams.
What Is it? 1989 Citroën 2CV 6 Special - F784 EFD

I don't normally blank out registration numbers, but I have with this as I thought you might like to try and guess what type/model of car this is? There are another two photos of this vehicle in the set.
UPDATE: It is a 1989 Citroën 2CV 6 Special

1964 Austin Mini - ONW 44B
An early version of the much loved Mini, this one wearing the Austin badge on the bonnet. Just think, this very car will be 50 years old in a few months!
1989 VW Scirocco Mk2 - E48 GRE
Triumph - Details Unknown
1969 Rover 3.5 Litre P5 - UTB 444H

Been in love with these old Rover cars ever since I saw "Street Machine" magazine use one as a project car many, many years ago!
1960 Humber Hawk - SJR 982

If you liked my last upload, the 1969 Rover P5, then you'll probably also like this Series II Humber Hawk.
1971 Reliant Scimitar GTE - KFP 998K
How about some 'plastic fantastic' from the Seventies? The Reliant Scimitar name was used for a series of sports car models produced by British car manufacturer Reliant between 1964 and 1986.
1970 Morris Minor 1000 Traveller - EWU 544H
The Morris Minor is a British economy car that debuted at the Earls Court Motor Show, London, in 1948.
Designed under the leadership of Alec Issigonis, more than 1.3 million were manufactured between 1948 and 1972. Initially available as a two-door saloon and tourer (convertible), the range was subsequently expanded to include a four-door saloon in 1950, a wood-framed estate (the Traveller) from 1952 and panel van and pick-up truck variants from 1953.
1966 Wolseley 6/110 - FKP 411D
The introduction of the 6/99 in 1959 market was a break with tradition for the “big Wolseley” range. For over quarter of a century, Wolseley had been Morris derivatives, but, horror of horrors, this new car was in fact a badge-engineered AUSTIN, being a luxury version of the A99 Westminster.
