That's Not Good ...

That's Not Good ...
Don't know how many of you use Norton security products, but mine has taken a serious dislike to ipernity.

I've tried to raise the matter with Team Ipernity, but who knows how long it will be before they reply!

Copyright surrendered on this so if you want to use it feel free!

, have particularly liked this photo

A screenshot to show my most recent comment on the ipernity Facebook page and what they've said in response.

Apparently, some news will be published tomorrow. It remains to be seen if that's just about the security issues or matters in general as there are still a lot of unanswered questions left over from the 'elephant campaign' last year.

I have just logged back on - after returning home - and I didn't get the "site blocked" warning when I went via "my favourites bar". Just for interest, I then g00gled for Ipernity and the n0rt0n report is "unsafe site" although I was able to click onto here ...

I hope that Team Ipernity have good news for us tomorrow ... the silence has been very worrying.

I Saw that warning on an old computer using MSIE 8 that belonged to my son before he went MAC crazy. This named computer is protected by Kapersky, now why would Symantec (Norton) issue such a warning when Kapersy does not?.
If you remember Ipernity Team sent out a PLEASE BE CAREFUL Blog 8 months ago informing that a Team member had been hacked, and that the Hacker was pretending to be that Team Member..

It sould well be that it is the same Nasty person having more Perverted fun.

I guess that's possible as the fact that Norton may have made a mistake.

However, having spent the best part of an hour talking to a member of their staff about this issue I can assure you that these warnings, as far as Norton are concerned, are genuine.

The Norton Safe Web facility managed by Symantec is a tool anyone can use be following the link below and if you enter ipernity's site address into the search field you will get the same information I did:
