What are the popular modern engines used in UK hot rodding? In Canada (and probably the US) this would have a V8 likely a Chev or Ford say 5 litres or so.

Can't say now as I've lost touch somewhat with the scene, but back in the day a Rover V8 would have almost certainly been fitted to cars like this one and was by far the most common choice.
