Canada Tour Prince Rupert Fire Department and Museum

Canada Tour Prince Rupert Fire Department and Museum
The Prince Rupert Fire Department Museum is operated by the members of the Prince Rupert City Fire Department and former members. The museum houses a wide range of fire department artifacts.

Prince Rupert Firefighter Associaton.
Founded on November 20, 1908, the Firefighters Association had twenty full-time members, a fire chief and a deputy chief who operated the station. Three pumps, a 27-meter aerial lift, two rescue trucks, and two trailer pumps were available for emergencies. Heavy industry in the area included a pulp mill, a sawmill, a grain elevator, a coal loading terminal, the Port of Prince Rupert, and five fish processing plants.
The members of the P.R.F.D. have been proud representatives of Local 559 of the I.A.F.F. since 1938.

Nouchetdu38, J. Gafarot, Nick Weall, Roger (Grisly) and 25 other people have particularly liked this photo
