Jaume Plensa's "Wonderland" in Calgary
Artist Jaume Plensa has built a giant sculpture called Wonderland at the base of Calgary's tallest tower, The Bow. The work of wire mesh is 39 feet high and resembles the head of a young girl. The sculpture is walkable and visitors can view the surroundings from inside the head.
My vision for Wonderland is to inspire everyone who experiences the sculpture: I believe that the architecture of our bodies is the palace for our dreams, says Plensa.
