The early light is stupendous. I note you used a fast 85mm lens and manual mode. I can learn from this, and other pictures you've posted. I do like the symmetry, the shadows, the human activity, all coming together in a series of verticals.

Thanks a lot :-) In fact, I switched to fixed focal lengths years ago and don't want to go back to zoom lenses anymore. I am my own zoom and can work with very open apertures. And I love playing with the blur. It's the same with manual mode - I want to be the master of my pictures - with successes and failures. Very rarely do I choose other modes. And again it turns out that the investment in good (expensive) lenses usually pays off more than in expensive bodies.
