Das weiße Rind Chianina ist die größte und älteste Fleischrinder-Rasse weltweit. Die bekanntesten Stücke sind das Bistecca alla Fiorentina und das Bistecca di Razza Pura.
Seit mindestens 2.200 Jahren weiden sie im Chiana- und mittleren Tibertal und haben sich im Laufe der Jahrhunderte Richtung Norditalien ausgebreitet. Typisches Kennzeichen des Chianina Rinds ist das rötlich-braune Fell bei der Geburt, das beim ausgewachsenen Tier eine porzellanweiße Färbung annimmt.
