It is an impressive picture.. An old building and it's tired stairs..
I am an architect, so my job is these kind of buildings. So it is always impressive all the details for me ...
You are right ,all of these take us to our childhood days...

Stairs were formerly really made for people who wanted to ascend or descend.
The height and the length of the steps were adapted to the step !!!
Today it is often a disaster
