Torrione e Rivellino*
Der Komplex des Turms und Ravelin* ist eine militärische Architektur von Piombino.
Der hohe Turm ist der älteste Teil der Anlage von 1212.
Im Jahr 1417 wurde das Frontispiz mit quadratischem Hof gebaut , und 1447 der Ravelin halbkreisförmig hinzugefügt - auf Geheiß von Rinaldo Orsini, Herrn der Stadt.
Cosimo I. de Medici aktualisierte und machte zwischen 1548 und 1557 einige Änderungen an der Anlage, so die Entfernung des ursprünglichen Zinne.
