Hier lebt "unsere" Familie, die gerne in die Lagune zum Fischfang fährt oder Meeresschnecken sammelt und in der offenen Küche direkt an der Küste zubereitet.
Auch Currypulver wird hier für den Familienbedarf selbst gemahlen.
Am Fuße des Berges gibt es die schönsten Strände.
Der Berg Le Morne Brabant wurde 2008 zum Weltkulturerbe der UNESCO ernannt, weil er während der Kolionalzeit Zuflucht für viele Sklaven war.
