La Sacra di Sam Michele e il Rocciamelone

Siamo in Valsusa a ovest di Torino. La montagna in primo piano è il monte Pirchiriano, alto 962m, sulla cui sommità c'è la millenaria Sacra di San Michele. Dietro a 20 km c'è il monte Palon alto 2965m e ancora più lontano a 24km, il monte Rocciamelone alto 3538 m sulla cui cima sorge il santuario più alto d'Europa.

We are in Susa Valley at west of Turin. The mountain in the foreground is Mount Pirchiriano, 962 meters high, on whose summit stands the thousand-year-old Sacra di San Michele. 20 km behind lies Mount Palon, 2965 meters high, and even further away, 24 km away, is Mount Rocciamelone, 3538 meters high, on whose summit stands the highest sanctuary in Europe.
