A somewhat over the top frieze at Boschendal estate, Fanschhoek. A fine picnic spot and the wine isn't that bad either.

View from the top of Table Mountain near McClear's beacon (1086m). A bracing walk up from Kirstenbosch.

This cloud just appears from nowhere if a South Easter blows in during the summer months. It literally tumbles over the edge of the mountain.

Sunny at the beach but showery just inland. There doesn't seem to be any shortage of great ocean beaches in this part of South Africa.

Dramatic coastal scenery driving along the bottom bit of Africa near Betty's Bay. One of those days where it may be raining a few hundred metres inland but you can be in the sunshine at the coast.

The head of a forested gorge in the Harold Porter National Botanical Garden. Hard to imagine the coast is just a few miles away. Didn't see any leopards.

Jackass Penguins at Stony Point, Betty's Bay. This is the other mainland colony in the area besides the more famous one at Boulders beach.
