SL53J Semiothisa perplexata

Geometridae, Ennominae Wingspan : 23mm.
A single specimen was recorded in Jalousie, but I’m really not sure about the ID, as there isn’t any species illustrated which provides a good match to it. I get the feeling that this is not the same as the common species we have come across throughout the Windward Islands, Psamatodes everiata (see SLJ70 in this album), but there is quite a range of variation, and also a number of possible identities. On review, my feeling now is that the best match for this insect is the new title name above.
