1986 WM Lymantrid Caterpillar

This moth caterpillar was spotted on one of our walks on the track through the Jungle in the Cameron Highlands of West Malaysia from near our hotel to the Parit Falls. From the tufted form of the hair, it is likely to have been a species in the Lymantridae family many of which occur in the peninsula.
