The Doll Waited Patiently for Them to Come Home
A Girl with Her Doll and Cart, Berlin

I thought at first that the doll was sitting on some sort of wheelbarrow, but as lisabee73 points out (see comments below) it's more likely that this is actually a dog cart or baby carriage.
Printed on the back of this CDV: "A. Jandorf & Co., Berlin, C. Spittelmarkt 16/17, S.W. Bellealliancestr. 1/2, N.O. Grosse Frankfurterstr. 113. Platten werden zur Nachbestellung aufbewahrt."

Man and Woman with Doll at Niagara Falls
A tintype photo for the Vintage Photos Theme Park.
Another painted version of Niagara Falls (see also Holding a Bucket Under Niagara Falls ) appears in the background of this souvenir tintype photo, which originally came in a paper mount that would have covered up the uneven edges and clipped corners.
The woman is holding a doll that appears to be dressed in a baseball uniform, and what looks like a purse is tucked under one of the doll's arms. Although it's difficult to see at the very edge of the photo, the man seems to be holding a stuffed animal of some sort.
Notice that--like all tintypes--the image is reversed, so that the "L" on the doll's uniform is backwards. The falls on the painted backdrop are also reversed--the Horseshoe Falls at left should actually be on the right-hand side of the photo, while the American Falls at right should appear on the left-hand side. Mouse over the top of the tintype to see a mirror image of the photo that shows the "L" and the falls in their proper order.

These three cheeky fellows are using a doll's thumb and nose to deliver an impertinent message. Mouse over the image above to see a close-up of the doll's rude gesture .
For other better-mannered examples of adults posing with dolls, see Man and Woman with Doll at Niagara Falls , Guys, Ladies, and Doll , Guys and Dolls , and Four Women and a Doll on a Train (all below).

Elmer's Acting Up!
Oh, how awkward! Looks like Elmer's making a spectacle of himself again! He's perched on top of a bear pull toy, leaning over a container of flowers, and holding a stuffed bunny rabbit and a bear. Lord knows what he has draped over his head. Please, Elmer, leave the kids' toys alone and just grow up!
(Awkwardly posted to the Vintage Photos Theme Park for the week of August 19-25, 2013.)
All I Got for Christmas Was a Bug!

Mouse over the image for a closer view of the bug toy .
Either that's a giant mutant insect getting ready to attack that poor kid or it's a toy of some sort, perhaps something like the mechanical crawling beetle pictured in the Victoria and Albert Museum's image collection.

A Sailor Strolling with His Family
A real photo postcard for the Taylor-Tot Stroller Vintage Memories group.
A street photographer evidently snapped this photo of a sailor and his family as they walked past a W. T. Grant Co. store in some unidentified town. The sailor and his wife seem surprised--and perhaps even annoyed--by the photographer, but their daughter seems to be excitedly holding on to a toy as she enjoys the ride in her Taylor-Tot stroller.
