A Vintage Photos Theme Park photo for the theme of tables.

This is a larger picture mounted on cardboard. It shows the interior of an unidentified restaurant with tables, distinctive chairs, and a menu on each tabletop. Unfortunately, there's no indication of the restaurant's location or the date when the photo was taken.

My attempts to decipher some of the clues in the photo -- the menus on the tables and a glimpse of street signs through the doorway -- haven't yielded any additional details about the restaurant's name or location.

and the menus all appear to be blank! (I know it's the lighting, but they could have given a clue).

the chair design makes me think of places like New Mexico, though the palm tree decoration feels more southern california.

Thanks! I tried my best to decode the words on the front of the menus and even peered into the doorway to try and figure out the signs of other businesses on the street. So far I haven't been successful. I added enlargements of these details in case anyone else is better than I am at puzzling out things like this.

Difficult to imagine what kind of human being would enter a restaurant like this. The tables look too small to put much food on; the chairs look as though they could double very well as electric chairs to fry their sitters. It looks very institutional to me: some kind of health spa: cold water treatments, vows of silence, conversion therapy etc. I can probably work out the menu from my dreams/nightmares tonight. I’ll report back.
