A tiny springtail about 0.7mm in length, Folsomia sexoculata I think, taken in my garden at 5x magnification and uncropped.

Found under rotting wood in my garden. All the info I can find on this one suggests its a species found near brackish waters, by estuarys near the coast. Some specimens have been found on lake shores in the Lake District but they could be another species or a new species altogether, as these are being found well away from water which makes me wonder if they are more widespread than previously thought or possibly another species altogether.
