Hoverfly Eristalinus sepulchralis in my garden. These seem to be one of the most difficult hoverflies to approach closely, this is the nearest I have managed to get so far! Interestingly I have seen a couple of larger, much darker specimens with similar eyes and wonder if they may be E. aeneus.
