I found a lot of these yesterday but found them really frustrating to get a good image, they can travel backwards as fast as they can go forwards, not the easiest of subjects to get in focus! Uncropped image taken at 4.3 x magnification.

I think this little Globular Springtail is probably Dicyrtomina minuta, the first one I have found this season. Taken at 5x magnification and uncropped. Venus Pool, Shropshire.
