After some study in Philadelphia and Boston she travelled to Europe to complete her training with Jacques Bouhy in Paris . Debut at vichy as Leonore "La Favorite" . was at Covent Garden for 2 seasons in 1899 as Ortrud , Amneris , Mamma Lucia and Maddelina . Returned to USA in 1900 and made her Metropolitan debut as Amneris , she stayed at the Met until 1919 and returned for the 1927-1930 season
