PALÁCIO DA AJUDA
ITS CONSTRUCTION BEGAN AT THE END OF THE 18TH CENTURY( 1795)
ONE OF THE EARLIEST NEOCLASSICAL BUILDING IN LISBON, THE PALACE IS AN IRREGULAR RECTANGULAR BUILDING, DIVIDED INTO FOUR WINGS AROUND A LARGE QUANDRANGLE, PAVED EITH PORTUGUESE CALÇADA IN GEOMETRIC DESIGNS.
WITH THE 5 OCTOBER 1910 REVOLUTION ALL WORK CEASED AND WAS CLOSED WITH THE WESTERN WING BEING INCOMPLETE.
