I never argue. I like scientific evidence, myself and would only counsel others to do the same and trust reliable sources. As it happens, these particular masks do let out your breath (that's what they are designed to do), so yeah, they are not really safe for others.
The two meter/six feet rule is not such a big deal when everyone wears masks and you avoid prolonged close proximity. That rule was started before we realized we really, really need to wear masks and that the best protection all around.
As for not going in there, it happens to be our favorite grocery store, so if they told us we had to wear pink bandanas, we'd happily oblige :-)

Yes, that's my impression too. But it is important where to get information, whether from a qualified source (newspaper, scientific journal) or from a inflammatory cheap paper or tabloid. :]

Indeed! Don't believe that social media post from a well-meaning friend, just because they heard it from "an insider who really knows what's going on." :-)
