Yesterday's Love

Yesterday's Love
Sweetheart Abbey, 'Dulce Cor, ' founded by Dervorguilla of Galloway in memory of her husband Baron John de Balliol. When he died she kept his embalmed heart in a casket of ivory and silver which was buried with her when she died. Their son John was, for a short period, King of Scotland.

I have added Boby Vinton's 'Always, Always' (Yesterday's Love Song) as a link

I added a second link 'Keep Me In Mind Sweetheart' by Mark Lanegan and Isobel Campbell

Anton Cruz Carro, sea-herdorf, Cämmerer zu Nau, and 29 other people have particularly liked this photo

Thank you very much Doug. The abbey is lovely and the story appeals to my romantic and highly imaginative nature. I can see her wandering around the abbey clutching the casket holding her beloved's heart!! Enjoy the rest of your week.
